REPORT A POO

To report dog mess to Luton Borough Council, click here.
(Opens in a new window.)

Please note that the facility is only
for reporting mess on public land.

The council's online poo-reporting facility allows the user to place a pin on a map indicating the precise location of the poo. However, the dog warden who telephoned me last week said this information is not passed to his office. So, when making a report, please make sure your written description contains enough detail to identify the poo's location.

A note about browsers

Internet Explorer users should experience no problems, but the council's website behaves strangely in Google's Chrome browser if you try to use the pin-map function. Below are some instructions for using the PIN MAP FACILITY with Google Chrome. (Chrome users wishing to just type a street address should be fine.)

Start by clicking the orange button labeled "Report dog mess"

Click the button beside "Use map", and wait for the map to appear.

When the map appears, WAIT FOR A FEW MOMENTS. After a short delay, Chrome displays a pop-up box like the one shown above. Here's where it gets interesting... You must click on "Leave this Page". (If you select "Stay on this page", the website will not work properly.) Once you've clicked "Leave this Page", wait a moment until the map has refreshed. (You'll notice it flicker as it updates.)  Now you can proceed as normal.
